Valentines DIY!

Our first blog DIY project! If you know Amy and I, that's a pretty big accomplishment... but we wanted to do a Valentines project for Lydia as well as my younger nieces Delaney and Ava. All of our credit for this project goes to allforthememories.com.. Make sure to check out her blog for more fun projects to try!

Supplies for this project were pretty simple..
            -Popsicle Sticks
            -Mod Podge
            -Sponge Brush
-a photo printed on to printer paper

In other words, all things you have laying around the house... No excuses, right?

First, start by brushing Mod Podge onto the back of your image. Our images were all around size 4x6, but just make sure the popsicle sticks easily cover the back of the photo.

Now, stick the popsicle sticks to the back of the photo, one by one. Until.... The back is completely covered.

Now, flip it over so the popsicle stick side is down and begin to brush mod podge over the top of the photo. Now let the photo dry.. We promise the mod podge dries clear :).. That scared me a little bit the first time I mod podged a photo..

Here are the three we did in the process of drying..While our photos dried, we decided to put together bags for each of the puzzles and attach a piece of muslin to the front that says "Love you to Pieces"..

Once your photos are dried, you can write a message on the back of your popsicle sticks to your special valentine!

Then take an x-acto knife and cut between each popsicle stick to form your puzzle pieces.. Now time to fill the bag with the pieces and you're done!

Here are all of ours we did today!

These make the perfect gift for your little one.. or your nieces or nephews :)

Here is our finished product ready for delivery:

Did you make Valentines for Valentine's Day this year? There were so many cute ones to see on Pinterest.. Let us know how you celebrated!

Happy Valentine's Day Everyone!
