Round Top Day 2!

Day two has come and gone! It was a windy one today and a warm one. I know all of my friends from home are hating me right now, but I am taking full advantage of the weather and wearing shorts and flip flops at all times :). Yesterday I focused a little more on just one location, but today I am going to give you a collection of fun things I saw during our adventures today. When I say "our" I am referring to my awesome other aunt Lisa and myself. Lisa lives in Austin and is doing the Round Top experience with me. She is my tour guide for the weekend and has been trying to keep up with my wandering shopping habits!

One place I knew I wanted to go to when I came to Round Top was Zapp Hall. My mom and I are fans of the Junk Gypsy television show on HGTV, so that's where I had heard of this location. It was a mismash of all kinds of booths filled with great junk from all over the US! I even found some Iowa folks in the mix. One of my favorite unique items I saw was this old scoreboard...

What an awesome view, right?!

After Zapp Hall, we were off to Marburger Farms Antique Show. Pulling up to this location was crazy! Tons of large tents filled with so many vendors. This has got to be my favorite location so far. SO much visual inspiration it was making my head spin. Here are some of my snapshots from the day. Marburger through my eyes, you could say!

Love this color pallette..
These old clock faces were very neat from Sweet Pea Home!

Amy has her Deer obsession... I have my clocks :)
A very cool tablescape and lights!

Day two is in the books and was definitely a success. Tomorrow is supposed to be absolutely gorgeous, so Lisa and I are planning another day full as long as our legs are still functioning by then.. I definitely should have done some pre-Round Top work out sessions to prepare for all of the walking ;)! Something to remember for next time, I guess. Make sure you are following us on Instagram for more posts throughout the day tomorrow!

Happy Junkin'!!

Product of the Week: Inspiring Gratitude Gifts

"A life lived in Gratitude is a quiet joy"

It seems like in the Springtime is when there are a lot of birthday celebrations. I always find myself scrambling to find gifts for friends. A scarf is usually a safe bet for my friends, but sometimes I like to give them something a little different..

This week's product of the week is perfect for those friends that inspire you or maybe those friends that need a little pick-me-up. This week we are featuring our new inspiring Gratitude Gifts.

"The Penny reminds us that life is full of hope; it inspires Gratitude and ignites Abundance."

These products are all about remembering to be grateful. They are each themed around the penny and "Inspiring Gratitude One Penny at a Time".

These gifts provide a perfect reminder to be thankful for each day.

This photo above is our Gratitude Jar, perfect for collecting pennies.

Then we have the necklace in a bottle gift. These necklaces are all sterling silver. The delicate ball chain is sterling as well as the sterling silver charm. They are packaged in these cute glass corked bottles with an inspirational message.

They also feature a penny at the bottom and after you take your necklace out of the jar can be used to collect pennies as another Gratitude reminder.

We also have a ring in a bottle gift. These rings are also sterling silver and packaged the same as the necklaces. These rings can be worn as a mid-knuckle ring or can be worn regularly.

My favorite gift is the A Penny for Your Thoughts journal. This is a very nice leather bound journal. It features a penny pocket on the front. Inside the pages are unlined and feature inspiring quotes throughout the journal. The perfect gift for your guy or girl friend!

Questions about these products? Let us know! Step out of the box and try something different this year for your friend's birthday or give them a special gift to brighten their day. These products are perfect for that!

Product of Week: Produce Candles!

This week's product of the week is our new Produce Candle Line! Amy and I discovered these candles at market in Atlanta and had to have them! They are characterized by their garden fresh scents and unique branding. Scents include Radish, Carrot, Peanut, Melon, Wildflower, Kale, and Honey.

We love the details of these candles. Above is the packaging of the Melon candle. It has a sweet scent, just like a piece of melon. On the back if features growing information about melons and when they are in season.

Personally, my favorite scent is the Honey candle. It has a perfect simple and sweet scent that I love!

Amy's favorite scent is Kale. She likes the cleaner, simple scents!

These candles can be found at http://www.thenestonline.com/Produce-Candles_p_140.html... Try one out! The aroma will prepare you for gardening in the Spring. Let us know what you think!

Pinspiration Tuesday: Collections

We are all collectors in our own way. When we go to antiquing or shopping, there's always that one thing that we are searching for. I like to collect vintage cameras and Amy likes to collect anything small and old. We love seeing other great collections.

Collecting is a hobby that makes shopping fun. I get so excited when I spy a vintage camera that I don't have in my collection, especially when it has a very reasonable price tag. Those are the moments that keep me searching and looking for more antiques.

As you'll see in the photos below, collections look great displayed together. Another thing I love collecting are old bottles. Put multiple old bottles together and they make the perfect display.

Here are some collections we found on pinterest..

What items do you collect? Is your collection big or small?

Valentines DIY!

Our first blog DIY project! If you know Amy and I, that's a pretty big accomplishment... but we wanted to do a Valentines project for Lydia as well as my younger nieces Delaney and Ava. All of our credit for this project goes to allforthememories.com.. Make sure to check out her blog for more fun projects to try!

Supplies for this project were pretty simple..
            -Popsicle Sticks
            -Mod Podge
            -Sponge Brush
-a photo printed on to printer paper

In other words, all things you have laying around the house... No excuses, right?

First, start by brushing Mod Podge onto the back of your image. Our images were all around size 4x6, but just make sure the popsicle sticks easily cover the back of the photo.

Now, stick the popsicle sticks to the back of the photo, one by one. Until.... The back is completely covered.

Now, flip it over so the popsicle stick side is down and begin to brush mod podge over the top of the photo. Now let the photo dry.. We promise the mod podge dries clear :).. That scared me a little bit the first time I mod podged a photo..

Here are the three we did in the process of drying..While our photos dried, we decided to put together bags for each of the puzzles and attach a piece of muslin to the front that says "Love you to Pieces"..

Once your photos are dried, you can write a message on the back of your popsicle sticks to your special valentine!

Then take an x-acto knife and cut between each popsicle stick to form your puzzle pieces.. Now time to fill the bag with the pieces and you're done!

Here are all of ours we did today!

These make the perfect gift for your little one.. or your nieces or nephews :)

Here is our finished product ready for delivery:

Did you make Valentines for Valentine's Day this year? There were so many cute ones to see on Pinterest.. Let us know how you celebrated!

Happy Valentine's Day Everyone!

Product of the Week: Park Hill Candles!

Have you tried our Park Hill Collection Candles? We order these from one of our favorite vendors, Park Hill. We love their packaging, their look, and each of them smell amazing! We sell them online on our website www.thenestonline.com... Amy and I both burn them in our homes and love them!

Each has a very individual scent, like Vine Ripe Tomato!

Sweet Tea is by far our best seller! It has a very refreshing scent that we can't get enough of.

The best part about these candles is they are unlike any other. They go perfectly in your decor!  After the candle is finished, I use the container to hold my makeup brushes or you can use it for office supplies.. Anything you can think of!
Can't you just smell it? :) I'm burning my Farm House candle by my computer now!

Make sure to head over to the website and check out the different scents and descriptions.. We have lots in stock! Here is the link: http://www.thenestonline.com/item_513/Park-Hill-Candles.htm
